An alkali feldspar granite exposed at Jabal al Gaharra in the southwestern corner of the Wadi Wassat quadrangle (18/44 C) contains an average of 66ppm tin. Compared to normal granites, this granite is notably enriched in flourine, lithium, and rubidium in addition to tin and depleted in titanium, magnesium, calcium, and strontium. Essential minerals are albite, quartz, microcline, and two micas, phlogopite and muscovite; accessories include flourite, topaz, and cassiterite. This granite is similar in chemistry and mineralogy to specialized granites from other parts of the world. DC7.
